With an international career highlighted by over 13 years in Japan, 5 years in Switzerland and 2 years in Singapore, Scott led risk management and structured & project finance teams in top-tier financial institutions such as Citibank, Standard Chartered Bank, the former Bear Stearns, JP Morgan and Morgan Stanley.
Natively fluent in Japanese and business proficient in French, German and Italian, Scott helped lead Bear Stearns integrate its fixed income trading and commercial real estate portfolio in Japan - largely problem-free under his watch - into JP Morgan during the tumultuous 2008 global financial crisis as the country branch's Head of Risk.
Scott also led diverse teams managing the risks of structured & commodity finance transactions at physical commodity traders Trafigura in Switzerland and Noble Resources in Singapore. He spearheaded new product trading initiatives in Asia, Africa and the Middle East with a focus on credit, market and operational risk, and championed capital partner relationships for the firms.
Scott also led commercial real estate origination & project development at EXE Design Co., Ltd. in Tokyo and headed real estate finance underwriting and CRM operations at Riverbend Lending in Portland, Oregon before its sale to CoreVest American Finance in 2022.
Born and raised in New Jersey and now a Palm Beach County Floridian, Scott holds an MBA with honors from Cornell University, a B.A. from The College Of New Jersey and certificates from Kansai Gaidai University in Japan and Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand.
